Blasting off at 10:00 am Saturday, Create & Cultivate made it abundantly clear that their first Coachella weekend event was there to give the many others a run for their money, which was evident by the long line of ladies waiting eagerly to enter, of which the first 150 guests were gifted with specially curated goody bags.
We arrived just before 11:00 am at The Ace Hotel's Commune pool and it was already packed to the gills. This smash hit in the making had some of the best production value of the weekend, with every surface, crevice and personality present brimming with visual flair and super creative activations. Upon entering, guests were treated to champagne and two flavors of mimosas, along with tray-passed breakfast treats, which were designed to fuel up attendees for what was to come.
Sprinkled throughout the mini-con were a multitude of activities that were being enjoyed by EVERYONE. Ladies couldn't resist selfie ops in front of the beautifully designed Create & Cultivate wall.
Others lined up to try one of the most impressive photo booths thanks to MINI Cooper. In this "photo booth" guests climbed into an ombre-blue convertible and then posed, vogued and danced their way into Warhol-esque fame, while being filmed by their own personal videographer.
Deeper into the activation, it was very apparent that this was a mecca of pampering and beautifying as BCBGeneration was on site to gift ladies with apparel pieces of their choice.
Manicures were provided by Olive and June because you can't go to the festival with your nails in shambles.
Supergoop provided vital, desert sun protection in the form of lotions, sprays, and even twist up sticks while Nature's Bounty handed out bottles of their essential pink "Hair, Skin, and Nail Gummies" in special edition, festival inspired packaging.
La Croix Sparkling Water was on site with a fun-filled photo booth and all the flavored bubbly water that anyone could drink.
As the day progressed, so did the panel discussions where guest speakers and surprise keynote speaker, Kate Bosworth, presented topical discussions about women and their roles in changing the fashion and beauty industries, as well as the creative digital intersections of art, fashion, music and related cultures.
Attentive guests were blessed with encouraging words of empowerment, wisdom and advice on not letting failures govern their futures.
After the panel discussions the fun began with the happy hour finale, which also signaled the time for festival goers to head to Coachella. And as the warm temps finally began to cool down, everyone left this buffet of good times FULL of heart, swag and inspiration.
With Coachella done and gone, Create & Cultivate continued to keep the vibe going with a follow up event at the Millwick event space in Downtown LA. Partnered with MINI for the MINI Roadtrip Series, C&C continued to bring female entrepreneurs from a diverse set of backgrounds to continue with the encouragement of women to move forward and onward and to not let the fear of failure stop their progress.
