Titans of funk, Parliament, have released their first album in a whopping 38 years, titled Medicaid Fraud Dogg. The album from George Clinton’s group follow’s their 1980 LP Trombipulation.
The group released a single back in January, but it does not prepare fans for the two hour bonanza of funk, disco and soul found on this 23-track, nearly two hour album that almost makes up for the four-decade-long wait. Clinton has announced that he is retiring next year, so he is putting out his music now. It also means he has no more fucks to give, as evidenced by song three, titled “69,” which is 4:20 long. Just look at the dog’s eyes on the cover.
The album has one feature from Scarface. Stream the full album below and get one last blast from Parliament before it is all said and done.
