Moogfest has announced a free ATC stage this Saturday, May 19, so the party can continue outdoors with some of the best acts on the bill. Among those on the bill include a DJ set from Ali Shaheed Muhammad, of A Tribe Called Quest fame, Pete Rock, Mosey Sumney, Ayo VIP, Gudiya and Lord Fess. This will all take place at the Amphitheater at The American Tobacco Campus in Durham. It is free and available to all ages.
This joins previously announced free programming including Ralph Steadman's Harmon-INK! exhibit and Michael Stipe's Thibault Dance installation. Stipe will also be in conversation with Andy Battaglia from ArtNews to present his new book.
“With 'Thibault Dance’ there’s clear nuance and tension. Thibault's performance is so powerful, showing immense strength,” says Stipe in a statement. “A big part of that strength being his fearlessness as a performer in allowing vulnerability, awkwardness, humanity.”
Now the big question will be if the weather cooperates, but stay tuned for more updates on that.
