Premiere: Montreal Rap Group Ragers Share New Breezy, Summertime Single 'Alright'

The group have a new album Raw Footage coming in June.

Montreal rap foursome Ragers stepped out of the darkness in 2013 and has been prolific since then, releasing a project a year. They plan on doing so again in 2018 with their new album Raw Footage in June and we have a new breezy single from the group titled “Alright.”

The first thing you may notice about the tune is the beat, which they create. It has a Kaytranada feel to it with those smooth synths floating in the background underneath funky guitar licks and percussion. They fully acknowledge the track’s jazzy undertones with some saxophone (and not cheesy bullshit) at the end.

Ragers take on the challenges of modern love and trying to let go when someone can be impossible to reach in person, but seemingly everywhere around you. It isn’t all down with this beat of course, it also is there for the party.

“We're celebrating complicated modern love in the age of excess and digital stardom. This is a Ragers love story...and of course, a party,” explain the group to Magnetic. “Even though love can sometimes leave us lost, it will all be Alright, we’re gonna be Alright!"

Listening to this song will make you feel as they say and others have said before them, like Kendrick Lamar, “We gon’ be alright.” With the weather starting to turn (at least in New York), this is a song you will want for the summer months.
