London-based producer Sammy Deuce is a relative newcomer to the world of dance music, but his work already has some of the polish you would hear from a vet. His new single “Burn It Up” is for those who want to get down, who want disco and who want to dance until the sun comes up.
“Burn It Up” does exactly what it says. It blends filter house with disco using a funky and steady bassline, horns, guitar licks and a repeating vocal about fire to create an irresistible groove. It doesn’t try to do too much or get too fancy, it delivers on its promise of being damn funky and does it well. It can be peak time during the day or at night for a pool or in the club, giving it rare summer versatility.
They are being mysterious about Deuce, but he looks a whole lot like Snoop Dogg.
We are happy to premiere “Burn It Up” today before it is released on Sleazy Deep this Friday, May 25. Until then, stream this heater below.
