Los Angeles indie kingpins Poolside have secured their spot as a staple act in the modern disco and upbeat electronica community. The duo, appropriately named Poolside, began as a recording project in the band’s converted Los Angeles backyard pool house in early 2011. Their brand is one built atop sunny and subaquatic compositions, nodding their head to 80s disco with more modern-esque dance nuances.

Today, Poolside announces their Summer Tour with stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Detroit, and Brooklyn, and festival stops at Outside Lands, Electric Forest, Hangout Festival. The tour announce is paired with a summer bop music video of the band’s flagship single “Feel Alright” from their acclaimed 2017 record Heat. The video features skateboarding legend Braydon Szafranski and model Ashley Smith, taking viewers on a wild ride through snowy hills, barren deserts, witha quick stop at a desert “Paradise” pub, before treking back to Braydon’s living room where his journey began.`

Last week, Poolside put out an official remix of Tycho’s “Horizon”, directly following a massive performance with LCD Soundsystem @ Santa Barbara Bowl, and remixes of their hit single “Feel Alright” from French disco wizard Yuksek and Colorado favorite Falcon Punch. All of this new content marks the first new music from the band in 12 months. The new music sets the stage for their first live dates since 2013, with key festival performances at Outside Lands, Electric Forest, Hangout Festival and tour stops in Brooklyn, Portland, Denver, Chicago and more. This North American tour will see Poolside put rubber to road with a reimagined band featuring some talented additions including drummer Vito Roccoforte and vocalist/bass player Mattie Safer of The Rapture, plus percussionist Brijean Murphy of Toro y Moi.

Jeffrey Paradise of Poolside had this to say: “Over the last five years the focus has been DJing in a club setting, so it’s been exciting adding new layers to the Poolside sound and working with some of my favorite players to bring the music to life in a live venue. Also pumped to play songs from Heat live for the first time ever.”

“Vito and Mattie, are the backbone and rhythm section from one of my favorite bands ever: the Rapture. They’ve been big influences on my musical career over the years. It’s super inspiring to play together with such great people with amazing musical chemistry. The punch they add to the music is unmistakable.” - Jeffrey Paradise

Poolside’s music video for Feel Alright is out today. Make sure to catch the band on tour this summer with new band members and new tunes.
