Ellen Allien by Vitali Gelwich_2

When one thinks of women in techno, there are few who've had as storied of a career and helped shape the modern sound we've come to know, both as an artist and label head, then Ellen Allien. She and her label bPitch Control have helped many of today's top artists, due to an unrelenting pursuit of quality, and neither shows any signs of slowing down. A couple weeks ago, we were fortunate enough to catch up with the pioneer at Moogfest for a brief, yet hilarious and insightful chat about her career and what makes an artist great.
