Low End Theory is calling it quits after 12 years of putting on shows every Wednesday night in Los Angeles and around the United States, Asia, Europe and Africa. They will put on 10 final shows before the event brand and promotion company will say goodbye.

In a lengthy post on social media, the company cited family obligations, work demands and life as three main reasons in addition to one more peculiar reason “we have overstayed our welcome.”

With the final 10 weeks of Low End Theory, they hope that they can use the shows to help the “beat community to set aside our differences, come together, and hopefully remember what made Low End Theory a special place to begin with: the music.”

The final run of shows begins tonight at the Airliner in Lincoln Heights and will eventually wrap up on August 8. With all of the big names that have been a part of the Low End Theory brand and community, it would be great to see if celebrated the way it should be over these final 10 weeks. The electronic music community will miss Low End Theory.
