The bright lights go out, a blue haze begins to fill the stage. The crowd roars with excitement as each member of Foster The People make their appearance on stage ending with the contrasted silhouette of Mark Foster himself. A strumming guitar comes across the speakers followed by songs across all three of their albums with emotional, active performances of songs like “Coming of Age,” “Don’t Stop,” and “Sit Next to Me” as the audience sing along. Foster speaks to the audience during the encore saying that we as people can only become unified as a society through love - if anything is certain it’d be that the crowd was unified by the love of Foster The People’s sound on this night. We have photos from the show on June 1 at The Cowan in Nashville to show you what went down as Mr. Gabriel opened.
