I have to say it - The Brooklyn Mirage is now one of my favorite venues in NYC. It's expansive, well laid-out, and the production is top-notch. Security was tight and the staff got all the excited fans inside quickly and safely. It helped that the weather was cool with a slight breeze, which made for an even better experience in the faux oasis. At times, it was hard to believe I was even in Brooklyn for night with artists like Axwell /\ Ingrosso.
Salvatore Ganacci played a heavy house/hip-hop heavy set while D.O.D played a mix of big room and electro house to prepare the crowd.
Axwell /\ Ingrosso always brings the energy to every show they perform at and it's hard for people not to jump around and have a great time. They played the biggest songs from their album More Than You Know, along with the first remix I've heard of Childish Gambino's "This Is America." Tributes to Avicii were dedicated with "Levels" and "Wake Me Up" being the two songs played to honor the late DJ and producer.
The only real complaint I have is that their sets do sound pretty similar after you've seen them a few times. It probably won't make a difference once you've had a few drinks but I'd love for them to shake it up.
We can't wait to be back, so enjoy the short clip and our photo set from that awesome night!
