Record Store Day is firmly in the rearview mirror, but its impact on the vinyl market was felt almost immediately after the day around the U.S. As one might expect, as soon as some of the rare new titles were put on the market, they appeared on Discogs either from individual sellers or larger entities. Many of these became the best selling records of the month.
Seven Record Store Day releases make it into the top 10 and 29 in total made it into the top 50, completing reshaping the landscape of what the best selling records were in April.
The new top best selling record was Pink Floyd The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn, followed by David Bowie Welcome To The Blackout (Live London ’78). Other records from Bruce Springsteen, Sleep, Led Zeppelin, The National and The Cure all rose up into the top 10 from their unreleased positions.
