Drake has released his fifth studio album Scorpion. The expansive two-side, 25-track album has features from the likes of Jay-Z, Michael Jackson and Static Major with Ty Dolla $ign on the same song. The Michael Jackson feature is an unreleased vocal from the legendary artist on “Don’t Matter To Me.”
If you were wondering, yes, Drake does come out and talk about his son on “Emotionless” and “March 14.” He is finally coming out and speaking about it after Pusha T put that information out to the world.
Any artist coming in my inbox in the next week or so saying they have the “song of summer” sit down. You know it is coming from this album, whether you like it or not. This album will do numbers this summer and for the rest of the year. Noah “40” Shebib and Oliver El-Khatib are the principle producers on the record. A whole host of other individuals contributed to the LP like Stefflon Don, Murda Beatz, James Fauntleroy, No. I.D. and PARTYNEXTDOOR. See a full list here.
The album is 25 songs, which feels a bit long, but split up into two sides, it gives fans a full picture of where Drake is coming from. The moodiness has not faded, as he dives into failed relationships, women, his beloved city of Toronto and more.
