Carl Cox, Amelie Lens, and UMEK star in this month's techno chart.

My compilation of techno's biggest tracks of May is finally here and there are some massive tracks tracks which fought their way to the top like Dusty Kid's acid-stomper, Alias' return to Drumcode, and of course my track of the month which belongs to Dutch producer, Industrialyzer.

View the previous month's techno chart

1. "SOLID BUZZ" - INDUSTRIALYZER [SECOND STATE]

I believe that Portuguese producer, Industrialyzer may just be responsible for one of the biggest tunes in techno so far this year and you will probably share my sentiment once you hear it hammered in a large setting as I did last month at Movement when Charlotte di Witte brought the house down with it.

2. "THE WOODPECKER" - DUSTY KID [FILTH ON ACID]

Dusty Kid's debut on Filth On Acid is nothing short of spectacular especially the lead tune which bangs, breaks, and squelches better than any tune I've heard in recent memory.

3. "THE EVENT" - ALIAS [DRUMCODE]

Harvey and Ryan McKay return to Drumcode as Alias for yet another fierce outing  which includes this hell of a tune which has been aptly titled "The Event."

4. "ACEP" - 2POLE [SUARA]

2Pole's title track may be the one dominating sales figures but I strongly urge you to dive deeper on the E.P. in order to uncover this wonderfully melodic banger they call "Acep."

5. "INVOLVED" - ANY MELLO, K.A.L.I.L. [NOIR MUSIC]

Brazilian producers, Any Mello and K.A.L.I.L. team up for their debut spot on Noir's self-titled imprint. It's a two-track affair that stars this very outstanding production they've titled "Involved."

6. "DIRECTIONS (THE CIREZ D EDIT)" - BETON FEAT. WEVIE STONDER [TURBO RECORDINGS]

Eric Prydz' once-private edit of "Directions" was screaming for universal access and thanks to Tiga and his Turbo imprint, you too can now hammer this at your own leisure.

7. "FENIX (AMELIE LENS REMIX)" - REGAL [INVOLVE]

Spanish producer, Regal and Amelie Lens collaborate on his label by each contributing one tune and remixing the other. All four results are pretty damn good but Amelie Lens' hammering remix of "Fenix" is superb. Press play now and enjoy.

8. "BLACK" - M€RCY [SOUVENIR MUSIC]

M€RCY is a brand-new Danish duo who are reaching into the deep and dark corners of techno with compositions like this ominous one with a very conspicuous title.

9. "TRAUMA" - KONTAL [SOMA]

Maltese producer, Kontal debuts on the legendary SOMA imprint with four varied tunes including this absolutely manic tune titled "Trauma."

10. "INFERNO" - CARL COX & REINIER ZONNEVELD & CHRISTOPHER COE [FILTH ON ACID]

The one and only, Carl Cox teams up with label-boss, Reinier Zonneveld along with up-and-comer, Christopher Coe for a very tense workout they've titled "Inferno."

11. "PREMONITIONS" - MIRCEA IVAN [NIGHT LIGHT RECORDS]

Romanian-producer, Mircea Ivan is responsible for this feverish production that is guaranteed to keep the floor moving.

12. "PERCUSSIONIX (MIX 1)" - UMEK [INTEC]

Techno mammoth, UMEK steps away from his label for a very special guest outing Carl Cox' beloved Intec imprint. It's a two-sided release which features two very similar versions of one tune. Both equally capable of shaking the floor to it's core but it's Mix 1 which gets the edge thanks to a monstrous synth section.

13. "DRIVING FORCE" - PATRIK BERG FT. MATT SASSARI [TERMINAL M]

British producer, Matt Sassari teams up with German producer, Patrik Berg on Terminal M and the result is three outstanding hitters including this devil of a tune aptly titled, "Driving Force."

14. "OCTAVE SHIFT" - MARKANTONIO, ATROXX [ANALYTICTRAIL]

Italian producer, Markantonio collaborated with Canadian producer, Atroxx and the result is this earth-shaking, party-starter called "Octave Shift."

15. "DEVIL SIGH" - LA FLEUR [WATERGATE]

La Fleur kicks off her long-awaited return to Watergate with this excellent kicker she calls "Devil Sigh."
