Premiere: SCAR Unveils Relentless New Drum and Bass Single 'Follow Me'

SCAR deliver another big record from their upcoming EP out on Metalheadz.

Drum and bass duo SCAR are putting out a heavy load of music this summer. The pair just released their Born Again EP last month and are now ready with another EP Out Of Perspective, which will be released on Friday. We are happy to premiere the digital exclusive from the bunch, “Follow Me” for you today before it is released on Friday via Metalheadz.

“Follow Me” is at its core and bass a relentless drum and bass track but still has a softer, more melodic top line. The song takes time to build with a constant barrage of drums before some fluttering keys enter the fray to give the song some more depth beyond the female shouting a ravey “Follow Me.”

The song has strong roots in 90’s hardcore music.

“Both of us come from a background of early 90s hardcore music so we often like to incorporate those influences in our music. With 'Follow Me,’ the vocal that we used screams that era to us so we thought that it should also have a good catchy ravey stab line to compliment it," the pair tell Magnetic." We were really pleased that Goldie & Ant at Metalheadz liked it and wanted to release it as the digital exclusive track on our Out Of Perspective EP on Metalheadz Platinum this July. Thanks for premiering the track, we hope you like it.”

“Follow Me” will be released as part of the four-track Out Of Perspective EP out this Friday, July 6.
