Kolsch and Tiga just dropped the tune of the year while Anjunadeep and others of the like continue to push the deep and melodic boundaries of house music.

1. "HAL" - KOLSCH AND TIGA [IPSO]

Kolsch teamed up with Tiga on this crossover anthem which I must unofficially declare as one of the tunes of the year.

2. "CALLING OUT (FLOORPLAN EXTENDED REVIVAL MIX)" - SOPHIE LLOYD FEAT. DAMES BROWN [CLASSIC MUSIC COMPANY]

Floorplan's floor-thumping edit of the modern anthem, "Calling Out" is one of those tunes you have to end the party with if you want to send everyone home smiling.

3. "SOMETIMES THE GOING GETS A LITTLE TOUGH" - FINN [DEFECTED]

Slightly frenetic, a bit manic, and a little too fast, this vocal-heavy hit on Defected is absolutely infectious and particularly amazing in it's own campy way.

4. "GOT THE FUNK" - TRAVIS EMMONS [SOMETHING DIFFERENT AGAIN]

"Got The Funk" by L.A.'s own, Travis Emmons has got a b-line like no other. It's soul-penetrating frequency along with it's compressed weight would destroy any dance-floor in a heartbeat.

5. "MOVE OUT OF MY WAY" - DENNIS QUIN & SHERMANOLOGY [MADHOUSE]

Old school garage vibes on this one as the original "deep house" sound gets a re-visit from Dennis Quin and Dutch vocal group, Shermanology

6. "VOICE OF SILENCE" - CRISTOPH FEAT. ARTCHE [PRYDA PRESENTS]

Cristoph linked up with a vocalist from Newcastle by the name of Artche for what is only the 4th ever release on Eric Prydz' Pryda Presents imprint. The tune is called "Voice Of Silence" and it's bound to be the most epic moment of many parties to come.

7. "DON'T U (EDIT)" - MARQUIS HAWKES FT. URSUlA RUCKER [HOUNDSTOOTH]

Ursula Rucker's spoken word on this balearic beauty by Marquis Hawkes perfectly sums up how we all feel in the presence of warm and wonderful house music.

8. "T.R.O.T.S.O.L." - DUSTY KID [SUARA]

Get your trusty screw-face out because this acid-house roller is so damn good!

9. "RADIATE" - YOTTO [ANJUNADEEP]

Finland's Yotto returns to Anjunadeep with three choice cuts including this magnificent one he calls "Radiate."

10. "NEON DESERT" - DIRTY CULTURE [AKBAL MUSIC]

Romanian producer, Dirty Culture returns to Akbal Music with a collection of three unique and diverse tracks including the title tune as featured here as one of the best of the month.

11. "MORNING LIGHT" - SOUL SPEECH [SNATCH!]

When the groove is this good, you ignore the fact that the sample repeats "Boogie Nights" and not "Morning Light."

12. "BABA" - OONA DAHL & GIDDYHEAD [ANJUNADEEP]

All Day I Dream darling, Oona Dahl along with Argentinian producer, Giddyhead land on Anjunadeep with this very special nugget they've curiously titled "Baba."

13. "MCKENNA'S PROJECT (TERENCE DREAM)" - DUBPHONE & GABRIEL SORDO [KINDISCH]

Relax your mind and groove to the hypno-melodic vibe of "McKenna's Project" courtesy of Mexico's Gabriel Sordo and Romanian producer, Dubphone.

14. "MY LIFE, MY FUTURE" - NOVA BLACK [WAVY RECORDINGS]

London house purists, Nova Black launch their own label with a set of four garage tunes including this standout choon which I highly recommend turning up and jamming out to.

15. "BABARABATIRI (DAVID PENN REMIX)" - TODD TERRY & GYPSYMEN [PHOENIX MUSIC INC]

Todd Terry's latin-house jam for 2001 gets a rousing update from Spanish producer, David Penn and the result is a guaranteed floor-filler.
