Krissy Peers, better known as Melé has been a fast riser over the past few years, putting out records on Defected, Eats Everything Edible, Turbo and elsewhere, creating songs that blend house, tribal and hip-hop influences. Two weekends ago, he was performing at HARD Summer and now that the dust has for the most part settled on the event, we have a photo gallery from the DJ from his experience there.
He is mixing the new Defected compilation, Defected Presents Mele In The House, which will be released on August 31. Pre-order it here.
"Talking burgers with Fisher outside the hotel before we go to the festival. Got loads of love for this guy, he’s mental but we love him."
“Chilling in the backstage area before my set, my trailer was actually next to Rick Ross’s which I was very excited about. There was a lot of champagne being delivered on golf carts.”
"Bontan is one of my best friends in the game, we both come from the same area so have the same sense of humor. We rarely get to play on the same lineups so we can super excited when we do, as you can see in this picture."
"Still get really nervous when I DJ, especially the first 10 minutes. So I’ve always got a cup of dark rum and coke with me."
"Deffo had one too many rums towards the end of the set here."
"Last few tracks just before Fisher came on. Great crowd, great vibes."
