Tencent Sets October 18 NYSE IPO Date:

Tencent Music Entertainment has reportedly set the date for its New York Stock Exchange IPO date. The $30 billion IPO will take place on October 18 and will be underwritten by Goldman Sachs and Morgan Stanley. It will add another major player and potential wild card to the music streaming scene in the United States.

Havas & Capitol Music Group Form Annex Tower Creative:

Media, advertising and communications company, Havas is teaming up with Universal Music’s Capitol Music Group to form Annex Tower Creative. It will be a U.S. creative agency and recording label. It’s stated goal will be to foster partnerships between brands and artists within music, entertainment, fashion and art. It will operate out of the Capitol Records Tower in LA and be under Vivendi.

Ticketmaster & Samsung Announce New Integration:

After Samsung and Spotify announced their partnership at Unpacked, Samsung is taking another step into the music business with Ticketmaster. They will be partnering with Ticketmaster to allow fans to discover live events through their virtual assistant Bixby. Samsung Galaxy Note 9 users will be able to ask about artists, teams, locations or event dates and Bixby will give you results like a seat location with the ability to buy a ticket.
