Renowned beatboxer SK Shlomo is making the transition from making beats on the streets to making beats in the studio and is ready to show his work to the world. He will released his debut album Surrender sometime in 2019, but to give fans a taste of what they should expect, he is dropping the first single “Invisible” tomorrow, August 10. We are happy to premiere the song for you today.

“Invisible” is more than just a collection of scattered beats. It has a warbled melody that balances on a thread over crisp drums as SK Shlomo sings in a deep and personal manner about the invisible struggle depression can be and his own battle with PTSD.

“'Invisible' is about feeling something creeping in whilst you’re looking away and quietly destroying everything you have,” he explains. “It’s an emotional song that builds and builds and finally lets rip. It represents me taking my pain and making it my power.”
