Current Vibes Playlist: KIDDO Shares Eclectic Selection Of Led Zeppelin, Nirvana, Snakehips - Magnetic Magazine
The Swedish artist has just released her debut single.

We have been captivated by KIDDO's debut release, the infectious alt/pop single "Drunk And I Miss You." In addition to her stunning, guitar-tinged track, KIDDO has created her own digitally animated official video, which you can feast your eyes on below.

We also had the chance to talk to her about her new single and her influences... we predict big things for KIDDO!

Congratulations on your debut single and video! What is “Drunk And I Miss You” all about?

Thank you so much! It's super exciting. It's about one of those nights when you are doing all you can to forget someone and stay strong but at the end of the night you lose your head and fall back, drunk text and probably don't get any reply.

What, to you, have been some of the most enjoyable parts of making this track? What did you gain from the process, and what helps you to keep developing as an artist?

Right now I am super excited to start singing live. I have a radio promo tour coming up.

Who or what influences you musically? Do you find you get inspired by lots of different genres and styles?

I love the 60's and 70's rock, I'm a big fan of Led Zeppelin for example. I think I get inspired from any type of genre. If it's a great song, it's a great song, but it all comes in waves. Right now I listen a lot to The Beatles.

Talk us through the making of your lyric video. How long did the process take? Did you work with anyone on it?

It's more or less how the painted version of KIDDO started. We thought of making a lyric video and I thought why not try making it myself. So I started painting a lot of things and it took a lot of time. It's hard to say how long it really took mostly because I was not used to painting this way. The animations are not made by me but that person wants to remain unknown.

Would you consider yourself a bit of a perfectionist as an artist?

Yes I am for sure.

How do you want your music to make people feel?

I want people to feel whatever they want to feel really. But I want them to feel something. I hope it makes them chilled and of course it would be amazing if it would make them feel like dancing.

What are you most excited about what is to come with KIDDO?

The future. Super excited to see how far we can take this.
