A first time for us attending the former site of London's Central Saint Martin’s College as Platinum House London opened it's doors exclusively for Platinum Card Members, bringing together the best experiences the culture capital of the world has to offer.
As we walked up the steps of the grand entrance we were greeted with a goodie bag along with a map of the rather maze-like venue. Each room offered different treats, from a fine selection of cocktails, whiskeys, art installations & even a spot that we could pick out some of your favourite selections of records.
As we passed through the very well dressed crowd into the main room, the sound of SG Lewis & KUNGS provided the perfect groove to start off our evening. It was hard to keep an empty hand with extra special menus curated by American Express Global Dining Collection partners Duck & Waffle, Hakkasan and Tredwells.
Former creative director of the beloved retail concept store Colette and founder of Just An Idea, Sarah Andelman, brought a selection of London-based designers including ALEXACHUNG & Bernstock Speirs, as well as Azumi & David & Katherine Hamnett – graduates of Central Saint Martin’s College – to take part in a pop-up shop which we passed through & gazed at the outstanding pieces from all of the designers, while witnessing an amazing, Brick Lane-inspired, installation from Jen Caes of Away with a live-art luggage wall. At the installation, guests received a complimentary and exclusive luggage sticker and shopped select items from the signature Away Travel Uniform.
Circling back around to finish off a great evening with a private performance on the Republic Records stage from three-time GRAMMY® Award-nominated and BRIT Award-winning multiplatinum singer-songwriter James Bay, ...
... before a weekend of Equinox fitness and fashion week after-parties began!
Big thanks to American Express for rewarding it's platinum members with an unforgettable experience!
