David Morales has been released from Japanese prison without charge after he was arrested earlier this month “on suspicion of drug possession” of a small amount of ecstasy at the Fukuoka airport in Southern Japan.
He was traveling to Japan on October 7 and allegedly custom officials found 0.3g of MDMA in his carry-on baggage. He denied the charge.
“We’re delighted to confirm that David Morales has been released without charge,” a rep for David Morales says in a statement. “David is well and has asked that we pass on his love and gratitude to all those who have shown their support. We will not be making any further comment, and request that David and his family’s privacy be respected at this time.”
Morales faced some pretty harsh punishment if convicted.
