Berghain Bouncer Sven Marquardt Wins €15,000 Judgment Against Card Company Using His Likeness Without Permission

Berghain’s famous bouncer, Sven Marquardt, is getting a nice payday as a result of a lawsuit against a game company Beware of Ninja, which used his likeness without consent in a card game called Bergnein. Beware of Ninja was forced to pay Marquardt €15,000 in damages.

Originally called, Berghain Ze Game, Bergnein, is a card game where players play the role of the bouncer and get to admit or likely deny people access to the famous club. A card of Marquardt was included without his consent, along with others. He sued the company in Sweden's Gothenburg District Court and now they must pay him the €15,000 in damages, his court costs and destroy all copies of the game according to Resident Advisor
