Brian Eno and Peter Childers have teamed up to release a reimagined and upgraded version of the generative music app Bloom for its 10 year anniversary. Titled Bloom: 10 Worlds gets a load of new features, Android capabilities and a simplified interface and more.
The app allows anyone to make music just by touching his or her phone screen. From there if the phone is left idle, an infinite number of compositions and visuals can be created using the generative music player. Sounds and images are grouped into 10 “worlds.” The first bloom is an echo from the original app and then it spawns “sounds, shapes, colors and rules of behavior” from the new worlds.
Bloom: 10 Worlds will be available to pre-order at the Generative Music website from November 27. The app will cost $4.99/£4.99 for pre-order. It will be released on December and if you purchase then, it will be $7.99/£7.99.
