Groove Armada has found a way to marry their love of football and music into one one piece of clothing for a good cause. They have unveiled a new soccer jersey working with merchandiser Bands F.C. to create a jersey that feels quite throwback to when pitches were mud patches and the players weren’t making normal people wages in a week. The jersey will benefit UK mental health charity Music Support, which focuses on mental health for music industry professionals. 50% of the proceeds will go to the charity.
The jersey will be made available on their website on November 30 and during their brief run of sold out shows in the UK at the end of November and beginning of December.
“'Apart from our run of live shows alongside the band, this is next most exciting thing about Groove Armada 21 tour. An exclusive football shirt brought to you in conjunction with the amazing Bands F.C. This brings together some of our favorite things: gorgeous design, a touch of early 80’s football and a song that changed everything for us,” explains the band in a statement. Strictly limited edition run, your chance to own a piece of Groove Armada history.”
