There are many ways to paint a picture of November 19th at the KFC Yum! Center. My brush strokes would depict a scene that was unpredictable, uncontainable and foolhardy. Travis Scott hadn’t made an appearance in Louisville since he accompanied hometown hero Bryson Tiller as a special guest in September 2017, but there was no doubt Scott would have another crowd of over twenty thousand people off their feet. The people didn’t hold back for Sheck Wes, Trippie Redd, or Gunna either with each artist having their own way of drawing the people into their act.
Everyone seemed to wait patiently after the third set up until the lights went out, then the stadium became completely uncapped and Scott was momentarily launched onstage. Scott rode the roller coasters of Astroworld in front of everyone as everyone was taken on a ride of their own – one fan in particular crowd surfed onto the stage, past security, to get a high five from Scott only to receive a hysterical cold shoulder in front of everyone. Needless to say, anyone and everyone that attended Monday night wouldn’t forget the slice of Astroworld that was left in Kentucky.
