Australian producer and DJ Kaz James is back with a delicious slice of smooth house music on his new record “Life In Purple.” The single is the title track from an upcoming EP, out on November 23 via Yousef’s Circus Recordings.

The song channels some Australian summer sun with bouncing keys, mellow chords and soothing melodies. This is all buttressed by a sturdy kick and sashaying percussion that don’t smack you in the face, but help drive the track along its path.

“I've been friends with Yos [Yousef] for years. I love what the label does. I played this to him in my Shoreditch studio and he asked me if he could put it out,” explains Kaz James to Magnetic. “I’ve been testing it all summer and just love the key change. It really impacts the dancefloor. People don’t expect it when it drops. There's a killer Ben Pearce remix as well for those deeper moments, I hope everyone likes it.”

The track will arrive in a week and a half on November 23 with remixes from Ben Pearce and Ki Creighton. Stream “Life In Purple” below until then as many times as you wish. Pre-order the record here.
