We all like a good drink, so where is the top spots to head to before a night out?

Vila Madalena is well known for it's many bars. One that I really like to have a nice Gin & Tonic at is SubAstor, located at Rua Delfina 163.

Where can you find the best clubs / late night venues in town?

São Paulo nightlife is very much alive, so it all depends what kind of party you wanna go to. For me, the best club in town is D.EDGE, in the neighborhood of Barra Funda. Go there for a dance almost every night of the week.

Brunches are a weekend staple; which spots stand out for you?

Oh yes, I love brunch! My favourite one is Pé no Parque. A very cozy restaurant near the infamous Ibirapuera Park, where you can get the most delicious freshly squeezed fruit juices, the traditional açaí bowl, or if you fancy something heavier they have many sandwiches and main courses. It's delicious!

Best dirty late-night street food option?

Bar Estadão is THE most classic dirty late-night street food in town. Ask for the classic pork sandwich and you won’t regret it. It's delightful.

Where can we shop for records and music memorabilia in Sao Paulo

As a Rock 'n' Roll and Heavy Metal fan I'd definitely recommend Galeria do Rock. It's settled in the very city center, and it's a five-floors gallery with many records, instruments and even clothing stores. I used to go there when I was a kid and I guess it's still there.

The Botanic Garden, near the city Zoo, is my favourite place to escape and recharge the batteries. It's a rainforest reserve with many birds, monkeys, sloths and more. Super special!

Something everyone should do when visiting Sao Paulo, but probably hasn’t?

Take a walk at Paulista Avenue on a Sunday afternoon. They close the street for people to walk through. There's a lot going on there. Street food, bands and DJ's playing, mini parties, families having fun. It's a very nice environment.

A track that reminds you of your childhood in the city?

Motörhead – ‘Ramones’. It reminds me of my young age of listening to Rock, Punk Rock, and Heavy Metal. Good times!

What local dish perfectly sums up Sao Paulo in one plate?

São Paulo is one of the best cities on the planet to eat. Ask anyone. As it has a huge variety of cuisines is hard to pick one. I must say the infamous "Churrascaria" type of restaurant if you're a meat eater, or the classic Açaí bowl to have a more traditional Brazilian taste. Also, the Sushi restaurants there are pretty unique and amazing.

A gift you can’t leave Sao Paulo without taking home for friends?

The Havaianas flip-flops. Everyone in Brazil uses them.
