How To Dress Well

How To Dress Well is launching his own label called Helpful Music. The label wants to be helpful on several fronts. It wants to be helpful to listeners and to artists.

It will also be a place that doesn’t stick a certain niche or genre. It aims to “put out great music from all corners of the present landscape.” Sticking to that ethos, its first few releases coming in 2019 will range from acid techno, to rap, to outsider art rock, to ambient electronic and more. The music will arrive from Overland, David Ashley, Burago, Mark Ambient, Aaron Read, ENBE and others. They want to empower artists to go out into the world and create more art.

It will be an imprint of Driftless Recordings, founded by Joel Ford. Check out a teaser video for the imprint below and read its mission statement on the label’s website.
