Have Yourself A Merry Little Chillmas

Shine bright like a Christmas light, gobble up the good times with friends and family in cozy sweaters and sweet new Black Friday beanies, fill a glass or five, light one up, and cheers the year behind and the year ahead.

Remember, life is pretty chill if you let it be. Make sure to stock up on your coping skills and good vibes for the upcoming holidays.

We have a lot to be thankful for this past year, I know I do, and a whole lot to work hard and be excited for ahead. New chapters, wild child adventures, humbling moments and vivid marvelous memories are on the horizon.

For now though, Happiest Holidays and have yourself a Merry Little Chillmas.

"Treat You Better" RÜFÜS DU SOL [Rose Avenue Records]

This song was a highlight an absolute dance party at their Friday night Los Angeles show touting a brand new spicy and sweet album, Solace. They stood in awe at the roar of the crowd saying they'd never heard a crowd scream so loud for them. RÜFÜS DU SOL is on the explosive growth trajectory.

"Me and My Friends (CRi Remix)" Sophia Bel [Majestic Casual Records]

Let this glowing remix massage your eardrums.

"Back & Forth" MK & Jonas Blue feat. Becky Hill [Area10/Big On Blue Entertainment]

Another banger from the amazing MK and rising producer collaborator Jonas Blue. Becky Hill's vocals really make this one. Sharp and sexy.

"Downtown (Alex Cruz & Brascon)" Majical Cloudz, Deep & Sexy Records

I absolutely love the original but it didn't quite fit the Chill Dance tag so went hunting for a remix that might fit the vibe and found this scintillating daymaker. Well done Mr. Cruz and Brascon finding this gem and getting its heartbeat up. Can't pass up a sexy sax.

"Control" Gigamesh feat. Caroline Smith

Is Gigamesh capable of not hitting me in all the best groovy feels? I don't think so.

"Jetty" Tycho [UMG Recordings]

The legend has a take your breath away foxy new track from gamer Ninja's compilation album for Fortnite of all things. Not sure how this all worked out but I'm not gonna dig too deep here. Good on ya Ninja for the great taste in artists to include.

"Fighting" Tep No [Ultra Records]

Acoustic guitar electronic feels a little corny, but I love corn. I love corn dogs, I love corn on the cob, I love popcorn, I love cornbread, and I love corny electronic. Tep No gets me.

"Joypunks" Big Wild [Counter Records]

The most underrated electronic artist out there is Big Wild. He is going to blow the f up no doubt. Starting with his remix of Sylvan Esso and now releasing two singles from his forthcoming debut album Superdream which promises to break the mold on style and sound. This track "Joypunks" has an uplifting bounce meant to get you feeling good.

"Powder Blue / Cascine Park" Yumi Zouma [Cascine Records]

Out of the powder blue comes my favorite track of the back half of 2018 by the feel good foursome Yumi Zouma. The vocals melt you, the production has a whimsical gentle breeze to it and the overall blend transports you to wild child sunny days.

"Moon" Kid Francescoli [Yotanka]

One of the better songs I've heard in a hot minute and a great new find of an artist. Shout out to my bud Blake for the recommendation (he's a regular inspiration for this chart). Check out all the tracks from this album. There are some xx vibes you get at times but it bends a lot of genres overall. Really impressive duo.

"Aura" Avoure [This Never Happened]

Definitely get your ears on this EP out on Lane 8's label. Avoure is a mystery as are many of Mr. 8's label artists but that makes them even more appealing.

"Wildflowers" Zimmer feat. Panama [Roche Musique]

The earthly jungle beats of Aussie house meets Paris smooth disco vibes all under the Roche Musique house. FIRE.

"Again" SG Lewis feat. Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs [Jasmine Music]

The reemergence of TEED has been one of the best stories in electronic music this year as is the plethora of releases from SG Lewis. This collab, while unexpected, makes sense in the euphoric soundscapes the two artists envelope the listener in. It comes off of SG Lewis' concept three part album Dusk, Dark, Dawn and is the best single off the entire project which is saying a lot.

"Iced Macchiato" iamalex feat. Bonus Points

Off the collab EP, Bamboo Beach this groovy funk track makes me want to roller skate dance down a palm tree lined LA street with headphones backing up traffic while I do so. I love the vibe and you will too.

"Coming Back Around" NEIL FRANCES

This is the group to watch 2019 in my chill dance book. Central Coast vibes with a French touch.
