Fyre Festival has been the gift that keeps on giving (unless you went or were a local vendor and got ripped off). However, for the rest of us, the drama and laughs has been a constant source of laughs. It was announced earlier in the year that a slew of entities were teaming up on a documentary, using never before seen footage, documents and more to piece together how the disaster really happened. According to Netflix, the doc “gives a first-hand look into the disastrous crash of Fyre as told by the organizers themselves.” Now the first trailer for the Netflix documentary has been revealed. We also have the official release date as well.

Watch the short teaser below and get ready for the documentary January 18. Chris Smith directed the documentary.

Hulu is also planning on doing a docuseries about the festival in 2019, so get ready for a lot of Fyre Festival content next year.

Fyre Festival founder Billy McFarland was sentenced to six years in prison back in October for fraud. He also lost a civil suit by attendees and the SEC settled a case against him as well.
