Apparat has announced his new album LP5. To get fans prepped for the record, he has released the colorful and kaleidoscopic video for the lead single “DAWAN.”

The new album is his first since 2013’s Krieg und Frieden (Music for Theatre) and follows his celebrated two albums II and III as a part of Moderat with Modeselektor.

The album was heavily influenced by how he has been making music with Moderat.

"I was only able to make the record this way because Moderat exists," he says in a press release. "Having a huge stage with Moderat gave me a setting for grand gestures and meant I could unburden Apparat from these aspirations. I don't have to write big pop hymns here; I can just immerse myself in the details and the structures."

The album will be released on March 22 via Mute. The album can be pre-ordered online here. He has also announced a slew of European tour dates this spring, which you can see on his website
