From artists to managers, agents and promoters, these are the people who make it happen, pushing our community forward.
Electronic music has changed so much since its inception, from otherworldly bleeps to mainstream radio pop. When looking at the artists who helped shape the world we know today, perhaps none compare to that of French legend Jean-Michel Jarre. Sure, Kraftwork were early pioneers, but JMJ took electronic music to the masses, holding both the first and third records for highest attended concerts of all time. Not only that, but he also helped set the standard for massive live performances, with groundbreaking technology like his laser harp (see video below).
He recently released a new studio album, Equinoxe Infinity, and incorporated virtual reality to help tell the store of the album. In this short but in depth episode of In Conversation, we discuss his love for technology, the process of creating Equinoxe Infinity, and what the future holds for his live performances. It was such an honor to sit with someone so crucial to our scene, so please give a warm welcome to Jean-Michel Jarre.
