The new Black Mirror film Bandersnatch is the talk of the town (with Birdbox). The movie that allows you to control your own destiny, or at least the character’s destiny, creates over one trillion unique permutations for you to go through. Set in the 1980s, the film embraces the era in terms of its music with tracks by Tangerine Dream, Depeche Mode and more.
If you are wondering, if this is a spoiler, it isn’t. The movie has so many permutations that start, stop and end that it is just rather confusing. I went through it last night and it all seemed to just end. I am still unsure exactly how I got to where I ended up.
Given how torn people are about this style of movie, it may dissuade some future producers from taking on such an ambitious project, just don’t be surprised to see more movies like this in the future.
