Panorama Festival will not return in 2019.

The New York City AEG/Goldenvoice festival had made itself home on Randall’s Island for the past three years, but it was never satisfied with the location.

AEG released a statement via Billboard saying the company as taking a hiatus in 2019 as they “continue discussions with NYC Parks to bring the festival to Flushing Meadows Corona Park in Queens, where it was originally envisioned.”

They have tried to get permits for this location since first announcing the festival and had to settle on Randall’s Island each time.

“We were disappointed in NYC Parks denial of our permit application despite the long term benefits this event would deliver to the community and the park.”

We will see if the festival will be able to get a permit for the location in 2020, but it may require changing political winds or some sort of magic for this to happen.
