Cincinnati natives “Walk the Moon” took their first show of 2019 an hour and a half southwest to Louisville, KY, for two nights at the renowned Mercury Ballroom on January 23 and 24. The crowd for their initial Wednesday night show was rather large (selling out their Thursday night performance) which made the 900-capacity venue sound comparable to a packed 20,000-capacity arena. The opener, Bear Hands, built up the energy as much as possible, and it clearly showed once the lights dimmed for the headliner. Dancing, jumping, and maybe a tear or two could be seen on and off the stage as Walk the Moon unleashed their sound to everyone in sight, and if anything was for certain, Louisville never could and maybe never will get enough of Walk the Moon.
