Siberian born producer Anfisa Letyago looks set to make 2019 her year. She is kicking off the campaign with a new four-track EP Bright Lights on Nervous Records this Friday. She also already has two EPs singed to Carl Cox’s Intec, with release dates still to be determined. With the new EP coming this Friday, we are happy to premiere the final track on the project “Shot.”
“Shot” takes a lot of the elements of the EP and builds them into a final conclusion. It uses the same types of dancefloor-driven, stomping basslines from her productions and then layers on top ricocheting percussion and airy, hypnotic synths. The song feels grounded, but finds a way to float in the wind as well.
“'Shot'' is quite different from other tracks on the EP -- it's more hypnotic and electronic,” explains Letyago to Magnetic. “It conveys my mood when I was by the sea and trying out new synths and creating a new melody and the moment gave me inspiration and allowed me to journey though my thoughts. I will use it often for closing my DJ sets, especially when the sun is rising."
“Shot” will be available this Friday, January 18 as part of her Bright Lights EP out via Nervous Records. Until then, stream it below.
