Catz ‘n Dogz are prepping for a very big 2019. The Polish duo will release their first EP of the year this Friday titled New Love. That EP is more of a remix pack, featuring the new original, which we are premiering for you today and two remixes by the unstoppable Gerd Janson, a club mix and another remix from Andrea Oliva.
“New Love” marks the 100th release on Pets Recordings, so you know it will be a special record. The song crosses over from the dancefloor to home listening. Frenetic percussion grounds the track underneath a repetitive and earworm vocal shouting “New Love” as piano flutters by and strings soar above the fray. It will be one of those club records where one half will just sway with their eyes closed and the other half will be furiously dancing.
You know it is good because it made the cut for Catz ‘n Dogz to listen to at home.
"We very rarely listen to our own music at home, but when we finished this one, it was on repeat for several weeks. It feels amazing to drive in the car and listen to it really loud,” explain the duo. "It’s about celebrating new possibilities and new challenges. It’s about moments when you feel motivated and energized."
This has some real potential to do damage in the coming months and into the summer. Too often, those prognostications are made haphazardly, but this one does have that potential. Listen to the single below before the EP is released on Friday and get ready for a big year with more to come from Grzegorz Demiañczuk & Wojciech Tarañczuk.
