UNKLE, the brainchild of James Lavelle, is set to release their new album The Road: Part II / Lost Highway in March. The album will be the second in a trilogy of albums that were all made the same way and are what Lavelle describes a “mixtape and a journey….it was to be the ultimate road trip.”
This record is a bit different from the first and obviously the third.
“The first record is like you’re leaving home; you’re naive and on a journey of discovery,” says Lavelle in a statement. “There are elements of my early days in there, as well as a bit of everything since. There’s an optimism and excitement to the record, as there was with me having to direct this project alone for the first time.”
The album will be split up into two discs and each of the 21 songs will feature some other artist in some capacity include Jon Theodore of Queens Of The Stone Age, Mick Jones of The Clash and more. The album will be released on March 29. It can be pre-ordered in physical or digital formats here.
