It's funny. Most people have this idea in their heads that, to be a successful artist in electronic music, you have to be headlining every festival on the planet, have millions of followers on social media, and be signed to the biggest labels. Fortunately, this is absolutely untrue. Take Matt Lange, a highly talented artist and engineer who, in my opinion, is equally underappreciated. Opinions aside, he's had successful releases on Anjunabeats and Anjunadeep, Mau5trap, and plenty others including his own label, as well as scoring music for film, video games, and more. With his fresh release on Mau5trap, we visited Matt in his Los Angeles studio to learn more about his music making process, what makes him tick, and how, surprisingly, he's been equally, if not more, successful doing things his own way as he has when following the more traditional path.
