The music industry is all about connecting the dots and working together. Yotto released a two-track EP Chemicals / Second Life last year via Joris Voorn’s Green label. Now Joris Voorn is taking his turn to continue the relationship, remixing “Walls,” taken from Yotto’s debut album Hyperfall, released on Anjunadeep last year. It is being officially released tomorrow, but we have the premiere for you today.

The original was a masterclass in deep melody writing but as you might expect with someone of Joris Voorn’s stature, he takes it to another level. The kick gets a shot in the arm, while the fluttering melody remains intact. Soft pads hover over the track as it slowly builds into a thumping remix that firmly brings this firmly out onto the dancefloor.

Joris Voorn makes sure that the remix doesn’t lose the original beauty from Yotto’s work, but also wants to give it more punch. The soft, ambient finale emphasizes the wish to keep the melodic nature “Walls," while not going overboard.

"I’ve always been a huge fan of Joris Voorn’s productions and he’s a great DJ,” remarks Yotto. “For this remix though I just asked him because he’s also pretty good at skateboarding. He did a great job bringing his own touch to the original.”

The remix will be released tomorrow, March 8. Until then, stream it below.
