It is that time of the year when the dance music world descends on Miami. Walgreens stacks the front of their stores with overpriced sunscreen in anticipation of the pale travelers from Europe and New York who are seeing sustained sun for the first time in months. More importantly it means that dance music labels are putting out compilations with loads of new music to make their impact on Miami Music Week. San Francisco powerhouse Dirtybird is doing with an 11-track compilation featuring the likes of Franklyn Watts, Kolombo, Steve Darko, Gene Farris and many more. We are happy to premiere Gene Farris’ collaboration with Tim Baresko “Fly With Me” off Dirtybird Miami 2019 today.
The new record is a meeting of the minds between Chicago house legend Gene Farris and French rising star Tim Baresko. Creating a song that fits the Dirtybird ethos perfectly, the pair makes sure this will work as a potent club record. Around a thumping kick, they build deep pulsing bass, shaking hi-hats and a deep voice telling you to free your mind. Spacey synths give you a respite in the break, before launching you right back into another barrage of bass.
“What an honor to have my first DIRTYBIRD release with my big bro and legend, Gene Farris. This track has been killing it for me and I’m excited to finally share it with the world,” says Baresko.
The track has been created with the Dirtybird mentality on the dancefloor and hopefully will be heard around MMW and beyond. The compilation will be released on Friday, March 29. You will be able to hear the rest of the compilation then, but as a taste, listen to “Fly With Me” here.
