Today, it has been announced that DMC, the world’s leading turntablist competition, has recognized the Rane Twelve motorized turntable controller as official performance hardware. The tone arm/cartridge-free controllers provide many advantages over the traditional 1200 players used, but could this be the beginning of a new era in scratch DJing performance? That remains to be seen. Rane is gifting anyone using the Twelves in the contest free custom made 12″ control discs.
