Red Dead Redemption 2 has become one of the biggest video games in history since it was released last year. Part of its appeal has been the dynamic, 80-hour score that helps lead the player along as they pet dogs, ride on horses and navigate violence of the wild, wild west. The score was performed during Red Bull Music Festival Los Angeles on February 23 by a large ensemble led by original score composer Woody Jackson.
The performance, which you can see below, helped bring the score to life so it almost feels like you are riding your horse through those grassy hills or Western towns on quests that take a long time. They only performed for an hour, not the full 80 hours. The crowd was immersed in the music with images of the game surrounding them on all sides.
The score will be released sometime in the spring.
