On Thursday, CHVRCHES called out their recent collaborator Marshmello for releasing a song called “Light It Up” with Chris Brown and Tyga. In their statement, they said they were upset by his decision and noted, “working with people who are predators and abusers enables, excuses and ultimately tacitly endorses that behavior." Chris Brown, unable to keep his head and not comment on IG posts, decided to respond in the most fitting way possible. According to Pitchfork, he left a comment on a recent post calling them out and saying, “these are the type of people I wish walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients.”
“BUNCH OF LOSERS. these are the type of people I wish walked in front of a speeding bus full of mental patients. Keep groveling over you own insecurities and hatred,” he writes on IG. “IM BLACK AND PROUD. AND I KNOW ITS HURTS THAT U GUYS ARE STRUGGLING WIT LIFE OR PEACE SO U ARE FORCED TO SEE MY SUCCESS. You aren't even #2 (REMEMBER 2nd place only means YOU LOST FIRST! TA-TA. GOODDAY PEASANTS.”
If this doesn’t prove their point, then what will?
Tyga also responded on their initial post with a message of positivity in an attempt to smooth over the past. “Where all God’s children. Everyone makes mistakes no ones perfect. Let’s Keep the energy positive,” he writes.
Lauren Mayberry shared a few screenshots of DMs people have sent her. If you look at the comments their recent IG posts, Chris Brown fans have taken over and aren’t too happy with the band.
