Tycho has released a new single “Easy,” taken from an upcoming album that will be released this summer via Mom+Pop/Ninja Tune.

"My journey as an artist has been defined by an iterative cycle with each album building on and refining an overarching vision,” said Scott Hansen, the man behind Tycho in a statement. “‘Easy’ is about coming to terms with my past and defining a clear vision moving forward. It’s a comforting voice that reminds you not to get so lost in the work, but to take it easy and enjoy the ride. ‘Easy’ is the bridge to the future.”

One can hear that bridge in the track with the combination of the synths and synthesized guitar leads that have been a calling card for Tycho for years. This is all set over easy-going drums and the soft vocals from Saint Sinner that adds anther element to this record we are just starting to see in his tracks.

Further details about this untitled album aren’t currently available, but we do know according to Tycho that it will be released this summer and “Jetty” isn’t on the LP. Pick up the record here.
