Pivot Gang - You Can't Sit With Us - Released 4/30/2019

As we continue to move into spring, Hip-Hop refuses to slow down with a variety of artists such as Anderson .Paak & ScHoolboy Q dropping long awaited projects, while some other fan favorites like Thurz and Beast Coast are just beginning to tease us with with the first few tracks from their respective albums. We couldn't be happier over here at Magnetic, as this means we have even more great music to chose from for our monthly chart. So without further adieu, here are the best tracks from April 2019.

1. YG - Stop Snitchin

I don't really need to explain much here. If you are snitchin' then you aren't hip-hop. YG puts it down as so as he continues to put out new music every single month.

2. ScHoolBoy Q - CrasH

With his new album finally out, you can dig into the entire "CrasH Talk" project right here. I personally enjoyed about 75% of it and while I still don't think it was as good as his debut album, "CrasH" was a standout song that deserves some shine here.

3. Jim Jones - Mamma I Made It (feat Cam'ron)

This one makes the chart just out of my personal / nostalgic love for Dipset. Killa goes off per usual and Jim Jones isn't in jail at the moment. Both reasons to celebrate.

4. Thurz - Long Live (prod. by Jake One)

Thurz has a new album coming out and "Long Live" is the first real single from from the Inglewood Native in quite some time. We are pumped to hear how the rest of the record will come together and will continue to support it here as we get more music.

5. Party Favor - Wait A Minute (feat. A$AP Ferg & Juicy J)

Party Favor pulled out all the stops as far as collabs on "Wait A Minute." Everybody wins on this one and the beat is very solid.

6. Your Old Droog - RST (feat. DOOM & Mach-Hommy)

For my fellow underground heads. YOD has a certified heater right here and with a DOOM feature you know people are going to stop and listen. Peep Your Old Droog's entire new project "It Wasn't Event Close" right here

7. The Weekend - Power is Power feat. SZA & Travis Scott)

Game of Thrones tapped an all star cast for this soundtrack that really doesn't make any sense for the actual series. Check out "Too Many Gods" from this release which also bangs!

8. Beast Coast - Coast/Clear

The East Coast All Stars of hip-hop are seriously the most exciting thing going on for the genre right now. Every single member of this crew and rap and rap dirty as hell. Both "Coast/Clear" and "Left Hand" deserve your attention and the album will be godly. Do not sleep on this album!!!

9. Kaytranada - DYSFUNCTIONAL feat. VanJess

After just seeing Kaytranada a few weeks back at Coachella, it's great to get a new track from one of Montreal's finest. Always coming super smooth on his production, Kay taps VanJess for the feature for "DYSFUNCTIONAL" and despite the name of the song, everything flows together quite nicely.

10. Pivot Gang - Bad Boys (feat. Smino)

Saba's crew is also really starting to grow on me (Thanks Ben). Their entire debut album You Can't Sit With Us is already one of my favorite albums of the year and now that it's out, you have no excuse not to listen to it.

11.  Anderson .Paak - Make it Better (feat. Smokey Robinson)

Just two legends making amazing music for another one of the best albums of 2019. Check out our review of Ventura here.

12. BlumBros x MAKJ - LS6

Philly is back on the map as the BlumBros have teamed up with LA favorite MAKJ for their latest track "LS6". I'm loving the Danny Brown style and the simplified beat from MAKJ really ties it all together. Be on the look out for more from these guys!

13. BURNS - Energy (feat A$AP Rocky & Sabrina Claudio)

The UK, NYC and Miami all join forces on the latest release from British producer BURNS. This song was made for summer and has all the right pieces in place to get some serious spins.

14. Yung Nudy - Mister (feat. 21 Savage)

It looks like Nudy and Savage are both going right back to business. You can check out the complete Sli'merre album on Spotify here.

15.  DUCKWRTH - Love is Like A Moshpit (feat Rico Nasty & Medasin)

Something different to end out the chart this month. Rico Nasty is one of my favorite stand out rappers of 2019 and she does work on this one.
