Happy Monday all. Hope your weekend was great because it's time to hit the road with our ever growing City Guide series. With each installment, our favorite DJs take us on an exclusive tour into the cities they call home and give us the rundown on what's hot. Fresh off his release on Hot Creations, David Berrie takes us through the cultural hotbed of Brooklyn, New York.

We all like a good drink, so where are the top spots to head to before a night out?

TBA in Williamsburg is my goto casual bar/venue that consistently books quality music. Great local hangout to warm up before heading out.

Where can you find the best clubs / late night venues in town?

It's been difficult to say for me there is the best club successor after Output has recently closed, but if we're talking about music venues in general Brooklyn Mirage hands down takes the cake. Hosting the biggest dance music brands in the country, there is no space in North America quite like it. It’s a massive fortress of sound that can host over 4,000 people, it’s like a little Disneyland for ravers.

Brunches are a weekend staple, which spots stand out to you?

Honestly, I’m not really a brunch guy unless I’m forced by friends or family, so I’m not one to ask.

Best dirty late-night street food option?

Empanada Mama. 24-hour Empanada delivery with the most amazing selection.

Where can we shop for records and music memorabilia in Brooklyn?

A1 Records in the lower east side is a record collector staple. This place is a secret weapon for finding rare forgotten dance floor gems. Also, it’s quite affordable.

Your Sunday escape plan when you need to get away from it all?

My town Englewood in New Jersey where I grew up. Super relaxing suburb town vibes with great restaurants.

Something everyone should do when visiting Brooklyn, but probably hasn’t?

Rent a bike, it’s the best way to tour the city. Also riding along the bike path across the Williamsburg bridge is beautiful, of course only if its nice out.

A track that reminds you of your childhood in the city?

Tribe called quest - award tour, quintessential NYC golden era hip-hop jam. Used to rock this heavy back when I used to play hip hop parties.

What are other great exports that come from Brooklyn?

Bonberi, the hottest new wellness store that my sister Nicole just opened on Bleeker street. If amazing juices and living healthy is something important to you, you must check it out.

A gift you can’t leave Brooklyn without taking home for friends?

Mango Juul pods. I don’t Juul but if I had a nickel for every time one of my friends have asked me for these.
