It's the weekend, which means it's time to pack your bags and prepare to ship out for another globe-trotting adventure with our City Guide series. This time, we head to London Town with rising pop talent Betta Lemme. She co-wrote Sofi Tucker's chart-topping Awoo and seamlessly incorporates English, French, and Italian vocals into her music. Hot off the release of her latest track, 'Play', Betta gives us an insider's look into London.

We all like a good drink, so where are the top spots to head to before a night out?
If you’re looking for an exquisite cocktail, I like to visit my favourite bartenders at The Savoy. If I’m feeling cheeky enough and it’s not too crowded, I’ll sometimes sneak on the piano to see who’ll come up to sing the loudest.
Where can you find the best clubs / late night venues in town?
You can never lose with Soho. Whether you’re looking to scream the Spice Girls at the top of your lungs in a dance club or softly hum Dusty Springfield in a quiet cocktail lounge, Soho has it all. I love going to Friendly Society in Soho. There are Barbie and Ken dolls drilled to the ceilings with flowers and disco balls. The music is all ABBA, Cher and Pet Shop Boys. The drinks? If you’re looking for a killer Mojito, look no further.
Brunches are a weekend staple, which spots stand out for you?
I’m not really a brunch person and most of my mornings are spent on a train. So here’s a photo of a train brunch:
Best dirty late-night street food option?
China town. Always. China Town. Soho. 2 am Dumplings forever.
Here’s a photo of chili oil because somehow all the dumplings just disappeared:
Where can we shop for records and music memorabilia in London?
Your Sunday escape plan when you need to get away from it all?
I love going mudlarking in London on the Thames and looking for treasure. There are very low oxygen levels in the water so there aren’t any fish and things remain the same - leaving it very much so an archeological site.
Something everyone should do when visiting London but probably hasn’t?
GO EAT A FLAPJACK AND BUY A MEAL DEAL. YOU’RE WELCOME. Also, during an evening walk, you should go have a chat with the one and only, Oscar Wilde.
"We are all in the gutter, but some of us are looking at the stars."
A track that reminds you of your time in the city?
“I only want to be with you” - Dusty Springfield.
This song has a very special place in my heart and isn’t something I’d ever hear from Montreal. When I heard it on the radio at Heathrow airport as I was on the phone with my mother, I remember tearing up about not wanting to leave this city.
A gift you can’t leave London without taking home for friends?
The contagious energy that this city never fails to deliver. That and also the occasional bag of prawn chips.
