After we checked into the LTY x LA Weekly Festival Hotel by signing a waiver and verifying our ages, we were immediately greeted by the biggest trend to hit the desert this year, sweet smelling green gold aka cannabis. THC:CBD company, The Root Of It All, welcomed everyone with samplers of various CBD concoctions specially designed for a variety of moods and/or conditions. While some of the tinctures were CBD heavy, others were THC heavy, but they were all FUN and therapeutic.
Je Suis Coco had a poolside cabana bar where two lovely mixologists concocted some of the desert’s yummiest libations with a handsome selection of eclectic beers. Our favorites were the watermelon beer and this mini-coconut creation.
It must have been a watermelon kind of month because around the corner, CÎROC had set up shop with a kiosk where some of the most tasty watermelon infused vodka creations were served.
ALWAYS OBEY the Laws of Fauxchella… hydration is key and SmartWater had their adorable VW bus (remember our gifting bus?) ready to dispense the liquid of life. This time around SmartWater had an antioxidant and an alkaline version, which insured our complete hydration.
Our favorite purveyor of pool floaties, Sunnylife inflatables, made sure the pool was filled, with inflatable furniture everywhere for everyone to lounge on in style.
As we continued into the Festival Hotel, we discovered the "LYT Box Experience" where the cannabis concierge delivery service created an environment for meditation and the art of hot boxing to unite as one. Inside the LYT Box, guests could create mini social media videos while hot-boxing inside a giant plexiglass booth surrounded by walls of everyone's favorite stanky greens. Cough cough... smile for the camera!
LYT also hosted a VIP cabana where special guests were treated to a plethora of branded swag items, the most impressive being the LYT bag of green goodness!
Did I mention that cannabis was KING this year in the desert? Well to drive that point home and in keeping with their namesake, Heavy Hitters dared any and all to take a pull off of their four-cart vape system...yes, you didn't misread. FOUR CARTRIDGES ON ONE VAPE PEN!!!
The femme friendly Bae Vapes cabana, drenched in pink, opened up a station for the ladies to create Epsom salt bath vials as pink Bae pens were readily available for anyone to take a pull.
If guests were feeling a little out of place? in pain? or a little off? The Miage Skincare tent was where beaten down souls could receive complimentary sound and crystal therapies to align the chakras and rejuvenate the soul.
What is a party if there ain’t no food. The Festival Hotel did not disappoint as daily guest chefs served curated menus of delicious bites ranging from chicken and veggie tacos, to a bouquet of veggies floating on a pool of hummus. Kimberly's favorite was the grilled cod served on a bed of black beans.
With three days of the Festival Hotel running strong, this was hands down one of our favorite 2019 Fauxchella experiences, with so much going on from gourmet food and top shelf libations to CBD remedies and potent cannabis concentrates, it was a blur but it was a blast. Bravo to LYT and their Festival Hotel!!! We hope to see you again in 2020.
