So far on this show, I've had quite a few artists from Germany who were born prior to the wall being torn down, and there to witness the birth of one of electronic music's meccas. I love hearing these stories, as they paint the picture of such a wild and exciting time in music and clubbing history. One such artist, the elegant Monika Kruse, was right in the thick of it, and very early on in her life decided that being a DJ was what she was going to do with her life. With her label Terminal M, Monika has helped set the tone of what a techno DJ is today, and has helped bring forth some of today's hottest artists. In this interview, we discuss her early days throwing illegal parties, overcoming a mysterious illness, and practicing mindfulness and vulnerability.

Monika's latest collab with Timmo is out now via Terminal M.
